Scaler School of Technology itself explicitly describes its programme as certificate-based. It is not a university or college and does not confer a Bachelor's degree on its own.
Scaler recommends (but does not require) students to separately and independently enroll in a university degree programme if they want a formally recognized qualification. These degrees are run entirely independently of SST, have their own admissions and fees, and are paid directly to those institutions — not to Scaler.

Bottom line: If you want a UGC-recognized Bachelor's degree, plan to also enroll in IIT Madras or BITS Pilani's online programmes. The additional cost is roughly ₹3.5–4.6 lakh over 4 years, paid directly to those institutions. Scaler SST's certificate has real-world value given their placement track record, but it is not a government-recognized degree on its own.
